In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves, especially when we’re constantly tending to the needs of others. But what if I told you that embracing radical self-love could be the key to reconnecting with your true essence and transforming your life? In this post, I’ll share my personal journey toward radical self-love and offer you practical steps to start your own.

A Personal Revelation My perspective on radical self-love emerged a few years ago when I made a life-changing decision: I spent $2,500 on a year-long membership to Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa in Corona, CA. As a homeschooling mother of five, my life was busy, and although I maintained a consistent workout routine, I seldom indulged in self-care beyond the basics. The spa was not just an escape; it became a sanctuary where I reconnected with myself.

To be radical about your self-love begins with setting boundaries. It’s about saying no to people-pleasing and yes to self-pleasing. We are often taught to deny ourselves to accommodate others, which can be detrimental to our souls. Each time we deny ourselves, we chip away at our intuition and authenticity, directly impacting our core design.

We must dismiss the belief that self-love is selfish. Radical self-love is an act of inner child protection—offering our inner child the care and protection they were once denied. This requires walking away from environments and people that drain us.

Evaluate the fruit that sprouts in your life. Do you see abundance and empowerment in the environments where you invest your time and energy, or do you experience confusion and a distorted view of yourself? Notice how you feel around certain people: Do you leave them feeling empowered and fully seen, or manipulated and devalued?

We often fear spending time alone, but alone time is crucial in reshaping the way we see ourselves. In a codependent culture, it’s easy to lose sight of who we truly are. By spending time alone, I reconnected with my own energy and began the process of radical self-love, expanding as I connected with my sacred sexual center.

As I deepened my self-love journey, I developed an intimate relationship with my yoni, leading to an expanded experience of self-pleasure that transcended physical stimulation. This profound connection allowed me to infuse love throughout my entire being intentionally.

When we realize that unconditional love does not equal unconditional tolerance, we can embrace radical self-love and transform both our inner and outer worlds. Here are some initial steps to begin your journey:

1. Define Your Self-Care and Embrace It Unapologetically: Self-care is unique to each individual. Listen to the bursts of passion, creativity, fun, and joy that guide your choices.

2.  Set Boundaries and Say No: Protect your energy by setting clear boundaries.
